QA Engineer

Role Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented QA Engineer to ensure the quality and reliability of our navigation application. The ideal candidate will have experience testing web and mobile applications, with a focus on location-based services. You will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive test strategies across our React, Flutter, and Python/FastAPI tech stack, working closely with our development and AI teams to deliver a seamless user experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for web and mobile applications

• Perform thorough manual testing across different platforms and devices

• Create and maintain automated test suites for UI, API, and integration testing

• Test location-based features, mapping functionality, and navigation accuracy

• Verify that applications work correctly with real-world geospatial data

• Identify, record, document, and track bugs through resolution

• Perform regression testing when bugs are resolved

• Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products

• Collaborate with development teams to understand features and technical designs

• Work with AI engineers to validate routing algorithms and predictive features

• Participate in agile ceremonies and provide quality metrics and reporting

Required Skills

• 2+ years of experience in software quality assurance

• Experience testing web applications (React preferred) and mobile applications

• Knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes

• Familiarity with test management tools and defect tracking systems

• Experience with API testing tools (Postman, Insomnia, etc.)

• Basic understanding of SQL and database concepts

• Good communication skills and attention to detail

• Ability to work in an agile development environment

Preferred Skills

• Experience with automated testing frameworks (Cypress, Selenium, Appium, Jest)

• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and testing integration

• Familiarity with performance and load testing tools

• Experience testing location-based services and mapping applications

• Understanding of graph databases (Neo4j) and document stores (MongoDB)

• Knowledge of Python for test automation

• ISTQB certification or equivalent

• Experience with usability testing and UX evaluation
