Front End Software Engineer

Our client, who is a leading specialist in television and video services, is looking to recruit a Front End Software Engineer to join our Dev team to translate interface designs into responsive HTML templates to be implemented by backend engineers.

Your responsibilities:

• Frontend development for new and existing features;
• Develop clean, high-quality code and automated tests to verify its operation;
• Participate and perform code review that aligns with required standards of security, performance and code-quality;
• Interact with the users of the Interface to understand varying use cases and record requirements;
• Optimizing components for maximum performance across a vast array of web-capable devices and browsers;
• Commitment to accomplishing the task at hand and identifying the fastest and most reliable way to solve a problem;
• Enforce high-quality visual standards and brand consistency on all web properties;
• Building reusable cross-platform components and front-end libraries for future use;
• Work closely with the Product Owners and Designers to create user-friendly workflows;
• Supporting backend engineers.

• 5+ experience with JavaScript (e.g. ES6+ or TypeScript), ReactJS, jQuery, SASS and HTML5;
• Experience with Web Components.
• Be already located in Malta/EU/EEA area.

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or related field
