Front-end Developer

RNG Labs International Ltd in Malta is currently looking to recruit a Front-end Developer to join their team on a full-time basis.

Overview:
We are looking for a front-end developer to work on two main projects developing a web-based portal and another commercial website, and subsequently maintaining them and developing any other related software applications.

The projects would be carried out over a full two-year period, and therefore the selected individual will have a definite contract of two years during which the work would need to be carried out directly in Malta at our offices or the offices of our partners.

The selected individual must have at least an MQF level 6 in an IT-related subject and must have at least 3 years experience in Software Development.

Furthermore, the developer will be expected to be conversant with the following development tools and be able to use these technologies with minimal guidance:

• Proven work experience as a WordPress developer, plugins from scratch and PHP
• Knowledge of front-end technologies including CSS3, JavaScript, HTML5, and jQuery
• Knowledge of code versioning tools including Git, Mercurial, and SVN
• Experience working with debugging tools such as Chrome Inspector and Firebug
• Good understanding of website architecture and aesthetics
• Ability to manage projects
• Good communication skills
• MySQL/MariaDB QL
• Knowledge of Linux.

Responsibilities will include the following:

• Designing and building the website's front-end
• Creating the website architecture
• Designing and managing the website back-end including database and server integration
• Generating WordPress themes and plugins
• Conducting website performance tests
• Troubleshooting content issues
• Maintenance of a web portal and other applications within limited timeframes.

The developer must be also able to communicate proficiently in English (both written and spoken).
