General Scope and Purpose 

We are currently looking for committed and dedicated professional to join Inspire on a Part Time basis. The chosen candidate must ensure the effective planning and implementation of individual/group sessions and activities according to set standards and criteria. They shall work collaboratively with all team members to ensure good practice within the programme.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with other tutors and therapists in the case of organising and executing external events.
  • They must work alongside other members of the team in taking responsibility for carrying out activities as indicated in the Individualised Family Service Plan (IFSP) concerning the future goals and possibilities of students within the programme.
  • Liaise with several professionals within the team to offer a truly multidisciplinary service to the client. This may involve consultations with speech language pathologists, occupational therapists, psychologists, and physiotherapists.
  • Develop knowledge in the field s/he is working in by attending relevant educational institutions and/or training programmes as requested. This includes, but is not limited to, attending joint sessions with therapists at Inspire or elsewhere.
  • Address parents concerns through appropriate methods of feedback, and to seek advice as required.
  • Perform any other duties which may be assigned to him/her as requested by the management in response to the exigencies of the service.
  • Administer assessments to clients and the development of goals.
  • Prepare reports and participate in annual reviews for allocated clients.
  • Carry out risk assessments and develop positive behaviour support plans where applicable and ensure the dissemination of these documents to all relevant stakeholders.
  • Monitoring the sessions as part of the ongoing evaluation of the clients’ progress.
  • Organize forms (such as: student profiles, weekly and monthly planning sheets, data collection regarding clients’ performance, client attendances, etc.) This includes upkeep of client's files.
  • Assist team members whilst preparing for extra-curricular and requesting a pre-visit risk assessment by the IEI Team Leaders.
  • Assist in planning activities for parents/guardians.

Role Requirements

  • MQF Level 6 in social sciences, education or a relevant field.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with previous experience in a similar field.
  • Knowledgeable about Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) would be considered as an advantage.
  • Proficiency in both Maltese and English languages (both spoken and written).
  • Available to work in the mornings.
