Truck Maintenance Assistant

AMSM is looking for a Truck Maintenance Assistant to join our Vehicles Fleet Maintenance Team on a full-time basis. 

JOB DESCRIPTION  

• Identifying any truck faults that may arise, whether of an electrical or mechanical nature and pin-pointing the best method for the resolution of such faults. 

• Being the first point of assistance when a company vehicle breaks down or has a puncture. 

• Carrying out light maintenance and upkeep as and when needed.

• Manning and operating the truck wash and keeping adequate records.

• Standing in for the Warehouse Fleet Team Leader when required and ensure that the fleet operation runs smoothly and efficiently.

• Assisting the Vehicles Maintenance Team Leader in his/her daily checks related to routine truck maintenance

• Assisting in the recording of all truck readings and any logging of data related to the trucks’ records.

• Assisting the Vehicles Maintenance Team leader in identifying truck faults and diagnose problems both of a mechanical as well as of an electrical nature. 

• Assisting, when necessary, in dispensing of fuel.

• Assisting Warehouse with deliveries when necessary

• Any additional tasks, as may be required by the Company from time to time.

YOUR PROFILE

• Secondary level of education.

• Ability to communicate effectively in both English and Maltese. Both written & spoken.

• Basic knowledge on heavy vehicles (electrical and mechanical) will be considered an asset

• Experience using hand-held tools and power tools.

• A ‘C’ or ‘C1’ driving license together with a Certification for Professional Competence (CPC) will be considered an asset.
