Our client who operates within the hospitality sector is looking to employ a Security & Safety Manager. 

  • Safeguard physical well-being of property, employees, and guests.
  • Experience in handling various emergencies and advising management.
  • Represent hotel and country with respect and quality service.
  • Ensure implementation of operational security procedures.
  • Manage security of contractors, suppliers, and vendors.
  • Maintain dialogue with local security authorities.
  • Ensure courteous and professional service from security officers.
  • Vet daily functions and VIP arrival list for appropriate security deployment.
  • Account for master keys and key control.
  • Keep senior management informed on security matters.
  • Review and suggest adjustments to security processes.
  • Pursue prosecution of felonious acts with local authorities.
  • Monitor entry and exit to prevent theft and unauthorised access.
  • Liaise with department heads for safe and efficient resort operation.
  • Provide recommendations on security equipment and training.
  • Evaluate and improve security procedures in various departments.
  • Report health or safety hazards to General Manager.
  • Attend staff and training meetings as directed.
  • Ensure compliance with resort policies and grooming standards.
  • Handle incidents and emergencies sensitively and professionally.
  • Conduct inquiries and follow-up activities for security incidents.
  • Provide fire and health safety training and certification.
  • Refresh firefighting team and conduct fire drills regularly.
  • Inspect and report irregularities in fire safety equipment.
  • Train emergency response and management teams.
  • Refresh First Aiders' training annually.
  • Guide, supervise, and motivate security personnel.
  • Plan and conduct regular training for security personnel.
  • Brief security officers daily on duties and ensure readiness.
Skill-sets and Requirements
  • Knowledge of local security regulations and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Proficiency in implementing and monitoring security procedures.
  • Ability to maintain composure and make effective decisions in high-pressure situations.
  • Attention to detail and ability to identify security risks.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and security management software.
Education & Experience
  • A degree or equivalent in operational management
  • Demonstrated experience in handling various emergencies and advising management on security matters.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in hotel security management or relevant security roles.
