Panel Beater

We are currently seeking a skilled Panel Beater to join our client's workshop. The successful candidate will be responsible for restoring damaged vehicle bodywork, ensuring all repairs are completed to a high standard while maintaining safety, quality, and efficiency.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Assess vehicle body damage and determine the most effective repair method;
• Repair or replace damaged panels and structural components;
• Straighten vehicle frames and body panels using specialist tools and equipment;
• Remove dents, reshape metal panels, and restore vehicles to their original condition;
• Dismantle and reassemble body components, including bumpers, doors, bonnets, wings, and trims, as required;
• Prepare repaired panels for the painting process by filling, sanding, and smoothing surfaces;
• Carry out measurements to ensure correct panel alignment and fitment;
• Work closely with Spray Painters and other workshop technicians to ensure a seamless repair process;
• Conduct final quality checks to ensure repairs meet company and manufacturer standards;
• Maintain workshop tools and equipment in good working order while adhering to health and safety procedures;
• Keep accurate records of repair work completed and report any additional damage identified during the repair process.

Requirements

• Ability to work independently and within a a team
• Good communication skills in English. Proficiency in Maltese is considered an asset.
• Candidates must be located in Malta and have a valid work permit.

Education and Experience

• Experience in panel beating or a similar vehicle body repair role is required;
• Working knowledge of body repair equipment, welding tools, and alignment systems;
• Familiarity with vehicle alignment jig systems is considered an asset.
