Best Western Premier Malta is currently looking to recruit a General Maintenance.

Taking care of the overall upkeep and functionality of the hotel, including performing routine maintenance tasks, addressing immediate repair needs, and supporting the maintenance team in creating a safe and well-maintained environment for guests.


• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance tasks on equipment, machinery, and building systems.

• Inspect and maintain hotel's physical condition, including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.

• Respond to maintenance requests promptly and efficiently.

• Diagnose and address minor repairs, such as fixing leaks, replacing light bulbs, and repairing fixtures.

• Operate and maintain various tools and equipment used in maintenance tasks.

• Ensure the proper functioning and safety of tools and equipment.

• Adhere to safety guidelines and procedures while performing maintenance activities.

• Report any safety hazards or concerns to the supervisor.

• Keep track of maintenance supplies and notify the supervisor when replenishment is needed.

• Maintain a well-organized inventory of tools and materials.

• Communicate effectively with the maintenance team and other departments regarding maintenance needs.

• Document completed maintenance tasks and report to the supervisor.

• Interact with guests in a professional and courteous manner.

• Address guest inquiries and concerns related to maintenance issues.

• Be adaptable to handle a variety of maintenance tasks and assist in different areas as needed.

• Participate in on-call duties and respond to emergency maintenance situations.

• Work collaboratively with other members of the maintenance team to achieve common goals.

• Assist colleagues with more complex maintenance tasks when required.


• Previous experience in a similar maintenance role, preferably in a hotel setting.

• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general maintenance tasks.

• Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Physical fitness and the ability to lift and move heavy objects.

• Familiarity with safety regulations and procedures.

• Technical expertise in various maintenance disciplines.

• A good command of the English language.

• Electrician's Licence A or equivalent.
