Driver / Installer assistant

We are looking for a reliable Driver / Installer Assistant to become a key member of our field operations team. This role focuses on the safe transportation, delivery, unboxing, and installation of commercial catering equipment across various customer locations. You will operate in a collaborative environment, teaming up with one colleague for standard tasks or working in larger teams of four for heavy-duty setups.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Safely operate commercial delivery vehicles to transport products to diverse client sites on time.
• Load transport vehicles securely, verifying that all cargo is balanced, tied down, and safe for transit.
• Unpack, unbox, and carefully handle arriving equipment to safeguard it from damage.
• Perform on-site installation assistance, using basic mechanical skills to assemble, position, and install equipment.
• Collaborate closely in paired teams of two for standard installations or as part of a larger team for heavy-duty equipment installations.
• Keep accurate delivery documentation, customer delivery confirmations, and job logs.
• Project a helpful and professional attitude when interacting directly with customers.
• Inspect items for faults before delivery and report any discrepancies to the operations supervisor.
• Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with company procedures and health and safety regulations.
• Maintain the company vehicle, tools, and equipment in a clean and serviceable condition.
•  Qualifications:
• Possession of a valid Category B driving licence.
• Previous background or familiarity with equipment installation, mechanical assembly, or a similar technical role is an asset.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills coupled with a customer-focused approach.
• Physical capability to lift, move, and position commercial catering equipment safely alongside team members.
• Excellent communication skills written and verbally through the English language.
