Dispatcher

At The General Soft Drinks Co. Ltd, we are currently seeking a reliable and proactive Dispatcher to join our Distribution team. Reporting directly to our Senior Dispatcher, the selected candidate will be responsible for coordinating daily delivery operations, ensuring timely order distribution, optimising routes, and ensuring compliance with company procedures and Health & Safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and monitor all delivery orders according to market requirements, ensuring timely deliveries, efficient route planning, and proper management of out-of-route orders in line with company procedures.
• Work closely with Logistics Executives, Inventory Clerks, and Warehouse Coordinators to manage stock shortages, loading schedules, delivery priorities, and overall distribution efficiency while maintaining accurate and updated SAP records.
• Supervise drivers, helpers, and self-employed personnel, ensuring compliance with company standards related to documentation, vehicle inspections, reporting procedures, grooming, registration requirements, fuel levels, and vehicle cleanliness and maintenance.
• Investigate and follow up on non-deliveries by liaising directly with outlets and drivers, ensuring all operational issues, vehicle damages, and discrepancies are properly reported and resolved.
• Support continuous improvement within the Distribution network by recommending operational enhancements, ensuring compliance with Health & Safety regulations, and addressing disciplinary matters when company procedures are not followed.

Qualifications & Competencies:

• A-Level standard of education.
• Proficiency in IT software applications and ERP systems.
• Good numerical and administrative skills.
• Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills in both Maltese and English.
• Strong leadership and team coordination skills.

Experience:

• Proven experience in customer service, order management, dispatch operations, and inventory management.
• Previous experience in a similar role will be considered an asset.
