The Express Services Division within Thomas Smith is looking for an efficient, organised, and self-motivated individual to join the team as a Courier. The Individual will be working alongside other hard-working team members, reporting to the team leader, and will be focusing on various aspects of an express service delivery including customs clearance duties.

Responsibilities of the Role:

• Carry out daily safety checks, safe loading of the vehicle; Adherence to company driving standards is a key performance indicator;
• Ensure correct completion of customer data and documentation;
• Initiate process improvements with the aim to enhance the team’s output and satisfaction;
• Executing the release of shipments from customs;
• Tallying consignments, sorting them according to their corresponding delivery zone and preparing them for delivery;
• Assisting with loading and unloading items from vehicles.

Skills Required:

• Valid and clean driver’s license; Having a motorcycle licence will be an added bonus;
• Excellent customer-oriented approach;
• Map reading skills and knowledge of delivery area preferred;
• Fluent in English;
• Experience in a similar position will be considered an asset will be considered an asset.
