Carpenter

UNITED HUMAN RESOURCES LTD in Malta is currently looking to recruit a Carpenter to join their client's team on a full-time basis.

Job Role:
We are currently looking for an experienced carpenter to efficiently undertake various carpentry tasks, including cutting cabinets, operating machines, installing hinges and rails, and carrying out general installations.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Take measurements under training and supervision
• Follow drawings, design briefs, and fabrication plans
• Undergo fabrication training
• Undergo sanding training and carry out the task with minimal supervision
• Operate machinery
• Use and take care of tools used for fabrication
• Abide by manufacturing standards
• Perform quality checks and obtain approval of works completed
• Abide by health and safety measures
• Assist with installations under supervision
• Work within a team and communicate with superiors as necessary
• Be smart on all occasions, enthusiastic, self-motivated, and able to work under pressure with minimal supervision
• Communicate with respect and in the best possible way when dealing with clients, suppliers, or colleagues
• Record client interaction data when necessary
• Communicate with the factory management
• Communicate with clients when necessary
• Make good use of the resources made available to carry out the role efficiently
• Take care of the factory workspace, including its upkeep and the tools assigned to you
• Inform superiors of any machinery and tools which need to be maintained
• Keep common areas and company property clean and tidy, and put them back into place or replace any materials used immediately.

Requirements and skills:

• Proven experience as a carpenter or willing to make a career in the field (not as a temporary job)
• Ability to handle carpenter tools and equipment
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Must be willing to learn and have a strong work ethic
• Must be able to follow instructions and work independently
