IT Auditor

We are looking for an IT Auditor to join our client's team. You will form part of the IT specialists’ team within the Advisory service line of the company. You will be conducting IT audit activities, including general IT control reviews, IT application controls audits, and data analytics assignments in support of financial audits as well as internal audits engagements. You will be dealing with their key clients in the iGaming, insurance and financial services industries.
ABOUT OUR CLIENT:
Our client is one of the leading multi-disciplinary audit, accounting, tax, and advisory firms and is located in Birkirkara.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Understand the IT environment of their clients
- Assess the associated risks and evaluate the control effectiveness
- Identify weaknesses in the IT control framework
- Report on findings and put forward recommendations
- Timely collate audit file and reports, including communication of findings to senior management
- Perform IT audit action items follow-ups on previously raised findings.
EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
- Minimum 2 years of related experience.
- You have a good working knowledge of SQL, Excel and CAATs
- You also possess excellent English-spoken and report-writing skills
- You have an assertive character, an ability to communicate effectively with staff and clients as well as a strong willingness to learn
- A methodological approach to work and the ability to quickly adapt to new challenges are essential ingredients to the success of this role
- You are pro-active, a team player, have an eye for detail and are self-motivated
- You thrive working in a deadline-driven environment.
EDUCATION:
- You hold a tertiary degree in IT, Business and Computing or Accountancy
- Candidates holding CISA certification or are planning to obtain CISA certification will be given preference.
WORKING TIME:
Flexibility in starting time, from 07:00 till 09:30, 40 hours per week with 60 minutes break.
