Our client, one of the biggest group of companies in Malta, is currently on the lookout for an Information Security Analyst to join their team here in Malta.

Your main objective will be to develop, implement and manage the company's information security strategy and evaluate new ways and methods to continuously improve this area.

Reporting to the Director of IT, your main responsibilities include:

  • Monitoring, reviewing, and keeping up to date with the latest cyber trends.
  • Developing and maintaining IT policies, standards, procedures, and guidelines in order to operate IT effectively and efficiently.
  • Following up, evaluating, and supporting the company and its subsidiary businesses in their efficiency and effectiveness with corporate security policies and policies related to local and/or regional legislation and regulation.
  • Collaborating with the various businesses within the group to improve security compliance whilst managing risk.
  • Working closely and coordinating data protection and privacy issues with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Determining the most effective way to protect computers, networks, software, data, and other end-point devices against any possible attacks.
  • Aligning and communicating with the various IT and security leaders and other stakeholders (internal and external) to plan, research, and design robust secure architectures for IT projects.
  • Reviewing the Standard Operations Proecudres processes and advising how these can be improved.
  • Developing and overseeing security awareness and training programs.
Skill-sets and Requirements
  • Ideally, 2 years of work experience in a similar position
  • Excellent analytical and stragegic planning skills.
  • Extensive knowledge in the latest cyber trends.
  • The ability to drive and deliver multiple projects.
  • Excellent command on English, both written and spoken.
  • Proactivity, passion and drive with a can-do attitude.
Education & Experience
  • A Degree in Computing OR Cybersecurity OR any other relevant field.
  • Certification in CISA, COBIT or CISM will be an advantage.
