Key Responsibilities:

As a Shop Assistant specializing in wines, spirits, and giftware, you will be responsible for creating a welcoming and knowledgeable environment for our customers. Your responsibilities will include:

• Product Expertise: Develop a deep understanding of our wine and spirits collection, as well as our giftware range, and provide expert recommendations to customers
• Customer Service: Offer exceptional customer service by assisting customers with their inquiries, making product recommendations, and ensuring a delightful shopping experience
• Inventory Management: Help with inventory control, restocking shelves, and managing product displays to maintain an organized and visually appealing store
• Wine and Spirit Tastings: Coordinate and conduct wine and spirit tastings, educating customers about various products and their characteristics
• Gift Wrapping: Provide professional gift wrapping services for customers purchasing giftware items
• Cash Handling: Accurately processes transactions and handles cash and card payments
• Store Maintenance: Assist in maintaining a clean and tidy store, including periodic cleaning tasks.

Qualifications:

• Passion and enthusiasm for wine, spirits, and giftware
• Previous retail or customer service experience is a plus
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail and a strong commitment to customer satisfaction
• Ability to work in a team and take initiative
• Willingness to learn and stay updated on product knowledge
• Together with the salary package, a commission will be offered.
