Retail Sales Assistant

We are looking for a motivated and customer-oriented Retail Sales Assistant to join our team in one of our retail outlets located in Valletta, Sliema, Bugibba & St. Julian's. As a Sales Assistant, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and promoting our products to increase sales at our gift and souvenir outlets. You will also be responsible for maintaining the appearance of the store and ensuring that all products are displayed in an attractive and organized manner.

Responsibilities:

• Greet and assist customers in a friendly, approachable, and professional manner.
• Help customers with product selection, offering recommendations based on their needs and preferences.
• Ensure the store is clean, organized, and visually appealing at all times, as well as ensuring products are well-displayed.
• Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using the point-of-sale system.
• Handle customer complaints, concerns, and returns with professionalism and care.
• Assist in inventory management, including ordering and restocking, checking stock levels, as well as checking and pricing of orders.
• Maintain product knowledge and stay up-to-date with current promotions and new stock.
• Work with the team to meet and exceed sales targets.
• Assist with opening and closing the store, ensuring all procedures are followed.
• Ensure adherence to store policies and procedures at all times.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve store goals

Requirements:

• Previous retail or customer service experience will be considered an asset
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
• Strong sales and customer service skills
• Attention to detail and ability to multitask
• Basic computer skills
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods
