Hugo's Group in Malta is looking to recruit a Hotel Sales Manager to join their team on a full-time basis. The Hotel Sales Manager is responsible for achieving hotel targets by optimising revenues as well as prospecting new clients in assigned markets which may change according to hotel needs. Developing strategic action plans for hotels to drive measurable, incremental sales revenue.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Hotel General Manager in defining an annual sales action plan and executing set actions accordingly;
  • Assist the Hotel General Manager with the preparation of annual budgets by providing statistics and forecasts of account productions;
  • Attend international fairs, and ensure that strong business relations are built and maintained during these events;
  • Maximise market share and increase revenue in line with the hotels’ pricing and revenue strategies whilst compiling and sending contracts as well as group quotes;
  • A clear understanding of the hotels’ business strategies, set goals and determine action plans to meet these goals;
  • Responsible for prospecting new accounts, business opportunities and strengthening relationships with existing ones to increase revenue for Hugo’s Hotels. Activities include sales calls, entertainment, FAM trips, trade shows, show grounds/site inspections, etc;
  • Responsible for key internal and external account management, ensuring revenue maximization, achievement of personal targets, and increasing fair market share versus competitor set;
  • Develop and create sales plans for the designated segments;
  • Compile and present reports on the market segments and coordinate together with the Marketing team any required marketing collaterals that are needed to promote the segments;
  • Establish positioning, identify target audiences, and develop marketing plans with specific objectives across different channels and segments;
  • Analyse customer insights, consumer trends, market analysis, and marketing best practices to build successful strategies;
  • Understand the competitive marketplace through trend and data analysis;
  • Maintain complete knowledge of all the services the hotels provide, to conduct successful sales;
  • Participate in the Hotel Duty Manager Rota;
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned by Hotel General Manager, to meet business needs.

Qualifications & Assets:
  • Previous experience in a 4 or 5-star hotel would be considered an asset;
  • Ability to portray the company’s brand values and concepts as well as maintain a clear understanding of hotels’ policies;
  • Excellent administrative and organizational abilities;
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, together with an excellent ability to build relationships with a positive approach towards both external and internal guests.
