Apcopay Limited is seeking a motivated and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our dynamic team.
THE POSITION
Based in Malta and reporting to the Head of Business Development, the Business Development Manager will support the growth of the company by identifying new business opportunities within the payments industry, while also assisting in maintaining and developing relationships with existing clients.
This role will focus on lead generation, supporting sales activities, and contributing to revenue growth as part of the wider Business Development team. The Business Development Manager will work closely with internal teams to help enhance our product offering and ensure client needs are effectively addressed.
Building an understanding of client requirements, maintaining strong client relationships, and representing the company at industry events and conferences will form an important part of this role.

THE COMPANY
Apcopay Limited, orchestrated by Synthesis, is a Single Layer Payments Orchestration Platform, that has been supporting merchants since 2004. It provides a unified, all-in-one solution, offering over 40 acquiring banks and 240+ payment options, processing 100 currencies for over 1200 merchants in 25 countries and connecting through a range of payment methods, including options such as Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Union Pay, Apple Pay, and Google Pay.
THE REQUIREMENTS
The selected candidate should be a proactive and commercially minded individual with experience or a strong interest in business development, ideally within the online payments, fintech, or e-commerce sectors.
The ideal candidate will have good knowledge of online payment systems and a willingness to further develop their expertise in the industry. Strong communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills are essential, along with the ability to build relationships and identify new business opportunities.
A target-driven mindset and the ability to work collaboratively within a team are important for success in this role. Familiarity with CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite is required. Fluency in English is essential, and additional languages will be considered an asset.
