Quality Manager

Our client is a household name in the food industry on the Maltese Islands. As they are growing, they would like to emply a Quality Manager.

The Role

• The Quality Assurance (QA) Manager oversees the company's Quality Assurance System, ensuring products meet quality, food safety, authenticity, and legal standards.
• You will directly manage QA assistants in the food factories and have emergency expenditure authorities
• Ensuring production teams follow quality, hygiene, and food safety protocols and maintaining QA team standards.
• You will inspect production quality parameters, initiate corrective actions, and manage customer complaints related to quality and food safety.
• Supporting staff training programs, identifying training needs, and delivering sessions.
• You will collaborate with the HACCP team, occasionally acts as Food Safety Team Leader, and ensures certifications are maintained.
• You handle laboratory testing, calibrate equipment, and ensure incoming materials meet set standards.
• Regular tasks include updating product specifications, conducting product reviews, and ensuring compliance with regulations.
• Additional duties involve monitoring hygiene and housekeeping audits, verifying system implementations, and maintaining fair discipline.
• Success in the role is measured by consistent adherence to quality and operational performance standards.

• Qualification in one of the Sciences eg BSc chemistry
• A mimimum of e years experience in a similar role
