Silvercraft Products Ltd. is currently looking to recruit a Works Coordinator (Manufacturing).

The key role of the works coordinator is to oversee all the jobs at hand so as to manage and coordinate the tasks within the company’s different departments to ensure seamless production process.

The role requires the works manger to divide each job into a number of tasks which will consequently be liaised with the different departments ensuring all jobs at hand remain within their goals, schedule and on budget. A key part of a project coordinator's role is to identify and mitigate risks which may impact successful delivery of projects to the quality of service each job requires.

The works coordinator will typically utilize various methodologies and tools to schedule and prepare the works brief to the production team. Such programs will include the Microsoft suit of programs, CAD programs, and other work scheduling programs.

Works responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the projects at hand.
  • Build and manage production documents including KPI`s (Key performance indicators),SOP`s (standard operating procedures) and quality documentation.
  • Certain jobs will require to go on site liaise with clients and fellow contractors.
  • Some jobs will require to go on site to take necessary as built measurements.
  • Divide the jobs in a number of sub tasks and prioritize the tasks to ensure the production process is performed seamlessly and according to delivery requirements.
  • If necessary, prepare workshop drawings to liaise with the production team.
  • Defining resource requirements and ensure that parts and accessories are made available on time.
  • Oversee that the work planned remains within the stipulated budgets and time frames.
  • Tracking project and providing regular reports on project status to project team and key stakeholders.
  • Managing and adjusting for any changes in project scope, schedule and /or budget.
  • Identifying and mitigating potential risks.
  • Managing the relationship and communication with the client and all stakeholders, ensuring the project is delivered to their satisfaction.
  • Coordinate and compile production reporting and documentation. Be able to appreciate the skill level of his subordinates and take advantage of such skills at best use to the production.
  • Be a team player and able to keep the production team united.
  • Manage and avoid conflicts between the production team.
  • Any other tasks that may be required to ensure an efficient production process.

What skills are we looking for?

  • Experience in a similar position will be considered an asset. 
  • Require strong technical skills and a logistical approach
  • Good time management skills and the ability to juggle multiple tasks at once.
  • Analytical skills are necessary in order to correctly identify risks and solve any problems which may arise throughout the project.
  • Management skills are also essential.
  • Ability to oversee project deliverables and keep management informed of project risks.
  • Be a good team player and an effective leader who is able to motivate their project team.
  • A good understanding of basic project-based programs, Microsoft Office suite, Projects software and Cad software.
  • A good communicator with effective stakeholder management & conflict resolution skills.
  • Mathematical and budgeting skills.
  • Manage KPIs to be presented to senior management.
  • Be diligent and diplomatic with clients and other fellow contractors’ relations to ensure that as much as reasonably practical the procedures and work to be perform is at the company’s advantage.
  • Posses at least Category C driving licence.
  • Business & commercial acumen will be considered an asset.
  • A basic knowledge of GRP or relative composite production will be considered an asset.
