Our client is a hugely reputable construction firm seeking an Operations Manager to join their leadership team. This will be a crucial position in shaping strategy and excellence throughout the business.
This role would suit an individual with a solid technical background and the ability to oversee Project Managers on multiple construction projects at various stages.
This person will have the ability to support PM’s, Site Managers and foreman ensuring all projects achieve commercial and technical success.
Responsibilities include:
- Overseeing the operation of up to 10 construction sites,
- Providing technical guidance to the site management team
- Acting as the go to problem solver for site challenges including subcontractor management, logistics coordination etc
- Ensuring project delivery through strong project management methodologies
- Attending projects meetings and updating other members of the leadership team
- Creating and maintaining strong relationships with internal teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients
- Mentoring site managers, identifying training requirements and providing opportunities for their professional development
- Working with the health & safety team to ensure robust adherence to guidelines
Talent will:
- Possess over 10years’ experience in the construction sector
- Demonstrate strong technical background in engineering, site supervision and/or project management
- Have a background of delivery complex construction projects
- Be solution orientated with a positive attitude to tackling problems
- Have excellent communication and decision making skills
