Project Administrator - Interim Supportt

Location: EUAA HQ - Valletta Grand Harbour

Tentative start date: ASAP till 31.01.2027 (Possibility of extension)

Salary Category IV - Gross monthly: EUR 4,111.47

Job Description

• The selected candidate will support the MENA team with the implementation of both the EUAA bilateral cooperation programme with Egypt and the Regional Protection Programme in the Southern Neighbourhood.
• In this context, they will contribute to the planning and delivery of capacity-building activities by liaising with key stakeholders, including EU Member States and partner third countries involved in the projects. The role will involve preparing briefing materials, drafting speaking points and lines to take, and supporting coordination among the different actors.
• In addition, the candidate will assist with the logistical and financial aspects of activity implementation, ensuring the smooth organisation and follow-up of project deliverables.

Minimum requirement

• A bachelor’s degree is mandatory
• Minimum of one year experience 
• Knowledge of French language (C1)

Advantageous criteria

• Experience in working in international cooperation; 
• Experience in asylum; 
• Knowledge of Arabic language

Required skills and competencies

• The role requires strong international experience, particularly in engaging with diverse stakeholders across EU Member States and partner countries. 
• The candidate should be able to support the planning and delivery of capacity-building activities, produce clear and concise briefings and speaking points, and communicate effectively (including in French). 
• Strong organisational skills are essential for managing logistics and finances, alongside attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced, international environment.

Non-resident rate: Non-Maltese employees who are moving to Malta for the purposes of employment will be subject to "Non-resident" tax rates for the first 183 days from arrival – these are higher than the standard rates. Once 183 days of residence are reached, income tax will be recalculated for the entire period of employment in the current year from arrival in Malta, and the tax will be adjusted to recover any overpaid tax. If the 183-day period extends into the following year, and 183 days of residence in Malta are not accumulated, the overpaid tax will need to be claimed back from the authorities with personal income tax return.
