Fabrication Team Leader

Bajada Lyons Group Ltd in Malta is currently looking to recruit a Fabrication Team Leader to join their team on a full-time basis.

Job Role:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Fabrication Team Leader to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fabricating and overseeing the production of solar water heaters, steel PV structures, and solar outdoor furniture. This role requires a hands-on leader who can manage a team of fabricators, ensure high-quality standards, and meet project deadlines. You will lead a team of skilled fabricators, coordinate with other departments, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our production operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the fabrication and assembly of solar water heaters, steel PV structures, and solar outdoor furniture.

• Lead and supervise a team of fabricators, providing guidance and support to achieve production targets.

• Ensure all projects are completed to the highest quality standards and within specified timeframes.

• Interpret and work from technical drawings and specifications.

• Implement and maintain safety procedures and protocols in the workshop.

• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.

• Coordinate with project managers and other departments to ensure seamless workflow.

• Conduct quality inspections and resolve any issues that arise during the fabrication process.

• Train and mentor junior fabricators, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Experience with CAD software.

• Proven experience as a Fabrication Team Leader or similar role in the renewable energy or metal fabrication industry.

• Strong leadership and team management skills.

• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.

• Solid understanding of safety regulations and best practices.

• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

• Certification in welding or metal fabrication.

• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles.

• Ability to work collaboratively and effectively lead a team.
