HSSE Coordinator

Our client is currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented HSSE Coordinator to join their team at their Shipyard in Malta. The successful candidate will support the implementation and maintenance of the Company’s Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental (HSSE) policies, ensuring full compliance with applicable legislation and company standards while promoting a strong safety culture across all departments.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and develop the health, safety and environmental strategies of the company;
• Organize and coordinate all training in safety and environmental aspects;
• Ensure suitable protective equipment is given to workers and that such policy is being maintained and followed;
• Carry out adequate risk assessments as and when required;
• Keep up to date with new legislation and health, safety, and environmental standards;
• Maintain and update the plans and procedures for emergency response;
• Carry out necessary controls of safety procedures in all departments;
• Monitoring operations and ensuring safety protocols are adhered to.

Requirements:

• Certification in Occupational Health and Safety;
• 1-2 years of experience in related field;
• Experience in writing reports and policies for health and safety;
• Fluent spoken and written English, Italian would be an asset;
• Great attention to detail.
