Role Overview: As the Community Engagement Manager, you will be the voice of our player base and a key connector between our product and development teams and the community. You will lead efforts to foster positive relationships, engage with players across multiple platforms, and cultivate an environment where feedback is heard and valued. Your role will be essential in enhancing player loyalty, improving retention, and driving brand awareness through effective communication and creative initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Community Management: Actively engage with players on social media, forums, Discord, and in-platform to create a welcoming and supportive environment.
• Content Creation: Develop and share community-focused content (news, updates, events, etc.) that resonates with players and fosters engagement.
• Player Feedback & Insights: Gather and analyze player feedback, ensuring that insights are shared with internal teams to drive product improvements and in-game experiences.
• Event Coordination: Plan and execute community events, contests, live streams, and other activities that strengthen relationships and grow engagement.
• Influencer Partnerships: Collaborate with influencers and content creators to amplify community engagement and raise awareness for the game.
• Crisis Management: Handle any community-related issues or concerns in a professional and empathetic manner, resolving conflicts when necessary.
• Reporting & Strategy: Track community growth, engagement metrics, and sentiment, and use data to inform strategies for continuous improvement.
Requirements:
• Proven experience in community management, social media, or a similar role within the gaming industry.
• Deep understanding of gaming culture, trends, and community dynamics.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to create and execute engagement strategies that resonate with diverse player bases.
• Experience with social media platforms (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, etc.) and online communities (Discord, Reddit, etc.).
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to handle player concerns or issues.
• Passion for video games and a genuine love for connecting with players.
Nice to Have:
• Experience with live event management and/or streaming platforms (Twitch, YouTube, etc.).
• Familiarity with analytics tools and social listening platforms.
• Knowledge of game development processes and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Bilingual or multilingual abilities.
