Our client, a leading operations company, is looking to recruit a Planning & Scheduling Manager to join their growing team. reporting to the COO, the chosen candidate's responsibilities will include: 

  • Independently manage, establish, maintain, and review all work schedules within the division, ensuring 100% site coverage at all times, including during emergencies and absences, and coordinate internally to ensure recruitment when required;
  • Maintain regular contact with customers to understand and adhere to their SLAs, promptly communicate changes in schedules and inquiries; 
  • Support the deployment of scheduling software across all divisions, exhausting its usage and ensuring effective training to relevant personnel;
  • Implement intelligent scheduling strategies to control costs;
  • Stay updated on time and attendance aspects, including software updates and industry best practices;
  • Collaborate with Control Room & Operations Manager to meet customer needs effectively;
  • Recommend improvements to scheduling processes and procedures based on feedback and analysis;
  • Provide support to operational staff and security guards as necessary;
  • Liaise with HR and management to address staffing issues and disciplinary actions;
  • Manage personnel’s records related to qualifications, schedules, incidents, and disciplinary actions; 
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and escalate issues as appropriate;
  • Carry out any additional tasks or assignments as required by management.

Requirements
  • Knowledge of the security industry and/or scheduling is a must.
  • Solid planning and organizing skills, with an excellent eye for detail
  • Initiative and a strong customer service focus with clear communication skills.
  • Experience working in a unionized environment is an asset.
  • An excellent written and verbal communication in both Maltese and English
Education and Experience
  • Diploma in a related discipline or equivalent is considered an asset.
  • Minimum of two years of related experience.
  • Proficient in use of various software applications including MS Word, Excel, and email.
