About Communications:
Acting as the central point of contact for the Authority, the Communications function handles its internal and external communications with the aim of maintaining positive relationships with stakeholders and keeping them up to date, be they employees, licence holders or the public at large. The function is also the designated brand guardian of the MFSA, managing its reputation and image on the various digital and offline platforms, through B2B and consumer education campaigns and events.
The role:
Junior Assistant Content Writer/Intern will be involved in the following:
Writing content for internal communications, including intranet features, stories, and interviews.
Writing content for campaigns.
Social media content management, including the writing of posts, creating stories and accompanying visuals, and scheduling/uploading as required.
Provide support in the creation of content material or collateral for local or international, both digital and non-digital events or workshops;
Monitor digital news and print media coverage to circulate as necessary;
Prepare and compile reports/statistics required by the different team's initiatives;
Provide support to the team in the day-to-day operations;
Update website and intranet content in a timely manner, using appropriate tools;
Other administrative tasks, such as the ordering of stationery, branding of documents, compiling of presentations, and maintaining storage facility.
About You:
The selected candidate should be reading for a Bachelor's Degree, ideally in English, Marketing, or in a relevant field of study at National Qualification Framework Level 6 or better, duly certified by the Malta Qualifications Recognition Information Centre (MQRIC) or a widely recognized professional qualification at a comparable level.
The candidate should:
Have an excellent command of English and Maltese, with a flair for writing and an eye for detail;
Be able to organize, multi-task, meet strict deadlines and prioritize tasks in accordance with the requirements of the function;
Possess good communication and presentation skills;
Able to work within a team as well as a multi-disciplinary office;
Demonstrate good research and have excellent oral, written, and presentation skills;
Be a confident individual who is flexible, proactive, and dynamic, has a critical and analytical mindset, and attention to detail.
*Experience in blog writing/social media page management/copywriting, in general, will be considered an asset and candidates who have an A level in Maltese will be preferred.
