Communications Specialist

An opportunity has risen for a Communications Associate to join the Marketing & Communications Team.

We are looking for a highly skilled communications professional, with perfect speaking and writing abilities in both English and Maltese, to join our Marketing and Communications team, as it continues to tell the stories of Malta International Airport and its sub-brands. 

The Communications Specialist shall be responsible for all content used to promote the company’s brands, operations and all activities in line with the organisation’s strategy. The selected candidate shall therefore be working closely with various departments to identify the most important information to communicate effectively to internal and external audiences.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Content Creation: Craft content for various communication channels, including website, social media, blogs, newsletters, press releases, and marketing materials; 
• Social Media: Manage and maintain the organisation's social media platform;
• Website Management: Update and maintain the organisation's website and it's sub-brands' web sites; 
• Internal Communications: Responsible for the production of internal communication strategies to keep employees informed and engaged including employee newsletters, company announcements and events; 
• Event Support: Provide communications support for the company's internal/external events; 
• Press Releases: Assist in the preparation of the company's press releases and publications; 
• CRM: To assist with and report on all CRM tasks; 
• Other: To perform any other duties as may from time to time be delegated by management. 

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience: 

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; 
• 2+ years of experience in communications, public relations or a related field;
• Ideally, Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Public Relations, Marketing or a related field;
• Proficient user of the Microsoft Office suite;
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
