Assistant Accounts Manager

Assistant Accounts Manager supports the Accounts Manager in the daily financial operations across ST Group’s operations, including invoice processing, reconciliations, supplier payments, budgeting support, and financial reporting. The role involves coordinating with multiple departments and properties, maintaining accurate financial records, and assisting with cost control and compliance procedures to ensure efficient and smooth accounting operations across the Group.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the day-to-day accounting operations across the Group’s hotels, projects, and property operations

• Support the maintenance of project accounts, cost allocations, and budget tracking

• Process supplier invoices, contractor payments, and account reconciliations

• Assist in monitoring operational and project-related expenses to support cost control initiatives

• Assist in preparing monthly management accounts and financial reports for multiple business units

• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities across the Group

• Assist with audits, VAT returns, tax filings, and statutory reporting requirements

• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures

• Support the Accounts Manager in monitoring internal controls and improving accounting processes

• Perform accounting administrative duties, including data entry, filing, and document management

• Follow up on outstanding payments, supplier queries, and required financial documentation

Requirements

  • Good understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, and cost control principles
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Ability to prioritise tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, and meet deadlines
  • Good communication and coordination skills
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
  • Relevant qualification or studies in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
  • Eagerness to learn and develop within the accounting and finance field

Education and Experience

  • Previous experience in an accounting or finance support role
  • ACCA qualification
