Our Client a leading firm is giving the opportunity to work on a wide range of local and international corporate and commercial transactions, while also being supported to explore and develop new areas of legal practice that interest you.
Your day-to-day responsibilities may include:
• Assisting and supporting teams on various corporate or commercial transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, transfer agreements and other commercial deals
• Participating in due diligence exercises to identify risks, liabilities and legal issues related to target companies
• Drafting and preparing written client deliverables and transaction-related documentation
• Maintaining good corporate governance standards and preparing documentation as required
• Conducting timely, precise legal research across corporate, commercial, competition law and related areas
• Engaging directly with clients through discussions, queries and collaborative problem-solving
• Contributing to professional events, marketing material, thought leadership pieces and wider business development initiatives
• Staying up to date with legislative changes, particularly in corporate and commercial law as well as compliance obligations
The successful candidate will:
• Hold a university degree in Law; prior experience in corporate law or transactional work will be considered an asset
• Be proficient and fluent in written and spoken English; additional languages are an advantage
• Be organised, dependable and capable of performing under demanding deadlines and high-pressure transactions
• Be career-driven, ambitious and eager to grow progressively within the Firm
• Work effectively within a team, demonstrating the energy, commitment and time dedication required in the profession
• Display a professional mindset, excellent communication skills and a strong client-service approach
