We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Lawyer to join the in-house legal team at GO’s head office for GO IP Holdings, a subsidiary of GO p.l.c. In this role, you will primarily focus on legal matters related to subsidiaries and affiliates of GO p.l.c., such as corporate governance (including KYC), compliance, regulatory filings and day-to-day legal issues. You will also handle various regulatory paperwork, ensuring that the company’s subsidiaries adhere to industry regulations and legal requirements.

As a Lawyer, you will gain exposure to a wide range of legal issues within the telecommunications industry as well as the different sectors our subsidiaries operate within, working alongside experienced professionals in various fields and supporting the legal needs of the business while being mentored and supported by an enthusiastic team.

Does this sound like you? Here’s what you need to have to match our requirements:

• University degree in Law and a thorough understanding of Maltese and EU Law
• Admission to practice law in Malta or eligible for qualification
• Fluency in English and Maltese
• 2-3 years of post-qualification legal experience
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work both individually and collaboratively
• Ethical mindset and a proactive and detail-oriented approach to problem-solving.

• Experience, a keen interest in or a disposition to practice in the areas of corporate law and regulatory compliance, telecommunications, digital and security law, subsidiary governance, intellectual property law, law of contract, litigation and/or data protection rules
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage competing deadlines
• Excellent research, drafting, and legal analysis skills.

• Subsidiary Legal Support – Handling governance, drafting and negotiating legal documents, and managing intellectual property assets
• Regulatory Compliance – Preparing and filing regulatory documents, monitoring legal changes, and updating policies
• Legal Research & Advice – Conducting research, advising on compliance and governance, and assisting senior legal counsel
• Contract Management – Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts while ensuring regulatory compliance
• General Legal Assistance – Supporting dispute resolution, litigation, and reporting to senior management.
