In-House Junior Legal Counsel

A local group of companies is currently on the lookout for an In-House Junior Legal Counsel to join their company 

Duties include: 

• Assist in handling day-to-day legal or corporate tasks
• Offering professional support and advice on various legal matters
• Provide support in drafting, reviewing and negotiating agreements
• Developing and revising policies, procedures and practices to ensure legal compliance
• Assist in analysing and identifying legal risks 
• Be requested to undertake the duties of a company secretary; 
• Be involved in the preparation and filing of statutory documents;
• To coordinate and attend internal and external meetings as required;
• Set up, organise and maintain paper and electronic filing systems;
• Keep abreast of legal developments, particularly in relation to corporate, commercial and compliance obligations, and inform management of any changes that may have implications for the Group;
• Assist in compliance matters including AML/CFT and Data Protection.

• Minimum of 1 year experience in the legal field
• A professional mindset and excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Fluency in both written and spoken English and Maltese

• Possession of Masters in Advocacy (candidates finishing their final year of University may be considered)
