Senior Underwriting Analyst

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Underwriter Analyst to evaluate and manage complex insurance risks while supporting profitable portfolio growth. This role is responsible for underwriting new and renewal business, conducting detailed risk and financial analysis, and ensuring compliance with underwriting guidelines and regulatory requirements.

Duties include: 

• Underwrite complex new and renewal commercial insurance accounts in accordance with company underwriting guidelines and authority levels.
• Analyse risk exposures
• Determine appropriate coverage structures, pricing, terms, conditions, and limits.
• Evaluate reinsurance requirements .
• Communicate underwriting decisions, negotiate terms, and build strong relationships with brokers

Requirements

• Minimum 7–10 years’ underwriting experience, preferably within the EU insurance or reinsurance market.
• Proven experience handling large and complex European risks within commercial lines.
• Experience working with EU brokers, carriers, and reinsurers across multiple jurisdictiction

Education and Experience

• Recognised insurance qualification (e.g., ACII - Associate in the Chartered Insurance Institute UK or a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Insurance Studies (MQF Level 6) or Master’s degree (MQF Level 7) in Insurance and Risk Management or equivalent EU qualifications.
