Insurance Officer

Our client in the Insurance Industry is looking for an Insurance Officer to join their growing team. 

Responsibilities:

Claims:

• Handling regular claims managed by insurance intermediaries and stakeholders 
• Verifying and approving claims 
• Performing internal controls inline with the company's framework

Complaints:

• Managing and updating complaints registers
• Understanding and investigating complains 

Underwriting:

• Reviewing of underwriting files and complaints 
• Assisting with monitoring products and developing new ones

Other:

• Supporting in meetings with stakeholders and intermediaries 
• Supporting in admin and operational duties 
• Supporting in internal reports
• Assisting in regulatory submissions
• Assisting with internal and external audits
• Supporting with any ad hoc duties related to the day to day  

Requirements

• A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a similar role, in the Insurance Industry especially within claims
• Experience handling claims and complaints in the Insurance Industry
• Excellent verbal and written English and Maltese
• Travelling is involved, to European countries

Education and Experience

• Ideally having a CII Certificate or equivalent
