We are looking for a passionate and innovative Head Chef to lead our culinary team at Porto in Xemxija. This is an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary expertise and creativity in a vibrant and dynamic environment.

  • Oversee the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation.
  • Develop and design seasonal menus that reflect current food trends and customer preferences.
  • Manage kitchen staff, providing training, guidance, and support to foster a collaborative team environment.
  • Maintain food safety and hygiene standards in compliance with health regulations.
  • Control food costs and manage inventory to ensure profitability and sustainability.
  • Collaborate with management to plan and execute special events and catering services.
  • Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar role within a high-volume kitchen.
  • Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food safety regulations, and kitchen management.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Creative flair and a passion for developing new dishes and menus.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Relevant culinary qualifications or certifications are preferred.
