We are looking for a creative and experienced Sous Chef to join our kitchen team.

The successful candidate must ensure the quality of the food produced and help to create new and exciting dishes.

The ideal candidate must have at least three years of professional cooking experience, preferably in a high-end restaurant setting.

They should have a strong knowledge of kitchen operations, food safety, and sanitation practices.
They must also demonstrate a passion for food and a desire to create new and innovative dishes.

The successful candidate will be expected to:

  • Make sure that all food is prepared and served in a timely and professional manner
  • Monitored food quality and ensured that all dishes were prepared according to the highest standards.

The successful candidate must possess excellent organisational and communication skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
They must also be able to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.

Walsh’s Ltd have been involved in the catering business since the 70’s when Malta started to make a name for itself in the Tourism industry. Its first restaurant was ‘The Winston’ in Sliema which rapidly established itself as one of the leading restaurants on the Island.Since 1979 Walshs Ltd have also been operating the catering facilities at the Danish Village at the Mellieha Holiday Centre. For over 45 years we have been ensuring guests feel welcome and looked after during their stay and our food has maintained its popularity throughout the period.The outlets which include a large terrace overlooking Mellieha Bay provide a comfortable and unique setting for guests to enjoy breakfast , lunch and dinner.In order to ensure that our kitchen and service teams remain strong and modern with a good work ethic we are always seeking new staff who we feel will easily blend into our operation.
