Whilst reporting to the Restaurant Manager, the Food Runner is responsible for supporting the service team and ensuring timely and accurate delivery of food to guests dining at Mykonos by Yiamas. The Food Runner will help create a smooth and efficient dining experience by working closely with the kitchen and front-of-house team. Maintaining a professional and approachable appearance is of utmost importance. He/she is to be part of the service team by performing food running and support duties.
Duties
Work Schedule
20 hours a week split as required by restaurant hours
Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings/weekends/holidays as required
Experience
Minimum experience of 1 year in the food catering industry as a food runner or similar role will be considered an asset
Knowledge and Skills Required
Professional appearance and behaviour
Able to proficiently communicate in English, additional languages are welcome especially Greek
Knowledge of Greek cuisine and culture is a plus
Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure
Must be self-motivated and organised
Excellent ability to work as part of a team and support colleagues in a fast-paced environment
Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate order delivery
