Food Handler / Catering Assistant

Job Description
Malta Healthcare Caterers Limited in Malta is looking to recruit Food Handlers/Catering Assistants to join its kitchen team involved in the preparation and delivery of meals for the healthcare sector.

The position will be:

• Reporting to the Supervisor of the area assigned to
• Based in the south of Malta
• On roster basis during days only - no evening/night shifts

Main duties will include:
Plating, traying, and packing food items and meals in food containers and trolleys. Perform any other general tasks as may be instructed from time to time by superiors

Duties:

• Help the supervisor to ensure a smooth workflow
• Ensure professional storage of product including checks of temperature and expiry dates
• Observe health and safety procedures
• Maintain a high level of cleanliness in the production and work areas
• Follow HACCP and any other food safety procedures set by the Company.

Today, we provide over 6,000 meals daily, as part of the biggest hospital catering operation in Malta.
