We are now expanding O’Sole’s signature concept to INNSiDE by Meliá St. Paul’s Bay, introducing two outlets — a rooftop venue and a restaurant within the same hotel. Together, they will deliver breakfast, pool bites, lunch, aperitivo, dinner, and late-night cocktails, offering guests a complete Mediterranean hospitality experience

Overview: We are currently seeking a passionate and motivated Commis Chef to join our kitchen brigade at O’Sole Rooftop and Restaurant. This role is ideal for individuals who wish to develop their culinary skills within a dynamic and professional team. The Commis Chef will work under the guidance of the Head Chef and Chefs de Partie to prepare ingredients, assist during service, and ensure food is produced to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in food preparation and basic cooking under the supervision of senior chefs.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation at all times. 
  • Support the kitchen team during busy service periods, ensuring effi ciency and consistency. 
  • Follow recipes, portion control, and plating standards as directed by the Head Chef. 
  • Comply with all food safety, hygiene, and HACCP procedures. 
  • Help with stock rotation, deliveries, and mise en place preparation. 
  • Show willingness to learn and grow within the kitchen environment.

Requirements:

  • Some prior experience in a professional kitchen or culinary training is preferred. 
  • A genuine passion for cooking and learning new techniques. 
  • Ability to work efficiently in a busy and team-oriented environment. 
  • Strong attention to detail, cleanliness, and time management. 
  • Positive attitude, discipline, and enthusiasm for hospitality. 
  • Good command of English; other languages are a plus.
