Chef de Partie

Acqua Restaurant in Portomaso, which makes part of the company Aqua Terra e Mare Ltd in Malta, is currently looking to recruit an experienced Chef de Partie on a full-time basis.

Job Role:
The candidate needs to be reliable and can work within a team. The applicant needs to be able to monitor food consistency and quality.  

Responsibilities:

• Verifying all food products are properly dated and organized for quality assurance
• Supervising all food preparation and presentation to ensure quality and restaurant standards are met
• Assisting with the management of health and safety
• Assisting with the management of food hygiene practices
• Monitoring portion and waste control
• Overseeing the maintenance of kitchen and food safety standards.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 1 to 2 years experience in a Mediterranean/Fish restaurant
• Understandable level of English, both spoken and written
• Knowledge and ability to run a section
• Team management skills
• High level of attention to detail
• Enthusiasm to develop your own skills and knowledge plus those around you
• Positive and welcoming behavior
• Applicants are required to work in the evenings, on Public holidays, and during weekends.
