Chef de Partie (Part-Time)

Job Description
The Brewhouse Co. Ltd in Malta is looking to recruit a Chef de Partie to join their team on a part-time basis. Reporting to the Head Chef, the selected candidates will be responsible for all aspects of food preparation, planning, and serving, ensuring that the standard and quality of the food production and the hygiene in all kitchen areas are always maintained.

The main duties will include but not solely:

• Keeping up to date with all new health and hygiene rules and regulations.
• Preparing food as per outlet preparation standards.
• Oversee and monitor kitchen porters and assure they are doing their duties following the outlet procedures.
• Ensuring wastage is kept to a minimum and disposed of as per company procedures.
• Ensuring compliance with sanitary food handling procedures and stock rotation systems.
• Assist other staff in cleaning the kitchen at the end shift.
• Make sure all areas of the kitchen are being kept clean and organised at all times, including fridges, stores, prep areas, and pot-wash areas.
• Taking good care of equipment and reporting any issues with equipment to the head chef.
• Reporting any suspicions of theft of products or equipment or unnecessary wastage.

Most important you need to:

• Have a relevant qualification in Food Preparation or Culinary Arts or equivalent.
• Have a minimum of 2 years of working experience in a similar role.
• Is quality driven and health and safety conscious.
• Excellent organization and communication skills.
• Has the ability to work under pressure and handle several concurrent tasks.
• Have the commitment to work on holidays, weekends, and special events.
