Job Description
Mallard Co. Ltd in Malta is looking to recruit Butcher to join their Kitchen Brigade on a full-time basis. In this position, you will be responsible for the preparation and inspection of meat, seafood, and poultry items according to established specifications, production requirements, and quality standards while maintaining a safe, sanitary work environment.  You will operate, maintain and properly clean kitchen equipment, determine necessary preparation, freezer pull, and line set up;  note any out-of-stock items or possible shortages.  You will work together with other team members on a daily basis to ensure a flawlessly executed final product and report to the Head Chef.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Skilled in preparing, portioning trimming, and deboning meat to specific requirements, and adhering to strict HACAP guidelines.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Certificate or Diploma in Food Preparation from a Catering Institute;
• In the position of a Food Handling Certificate;
• Minimum 3 years work experience in a kitchen (butcher section);
• Fluent in English;
• A proactive approach to dealing with issues that may arise;
• Highly organized, able to multitask and prioritize and work under pressure.
