Bartender

Our client is a leading hospitality group bringing together five unique restaurants in Malta, each offering its own distinctive dining experience while sharing a passion for genuine Italian cuisine, exceptional food, and warm hospitality.

Position Summary

Our client is looking for an enthusiastic and customer-focused Bartender to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and serving a wide range of beverages while delivering excellent service and contributing to a memorable dining experience for guests.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve cocktails, wines, beers, spirits, coffees, and other alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
• Provide professional and friendly service to guests.
• Recommend beverages and make suggestions based on guests' preferences.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and well-stocked bar area.
• Monitor stock levels and communicate replenishment requirements.
• Ensure all beverages are prepared and presented according to the required standards.
• Process orders accurately using the point of sale system.
• Work closely with the restaurant and kitchen teams to ensure smooth service.
• Maintain excellent knowledge of the beverage menu and available products.
• Follow all food safety, hygiene, health and safety, and responsible alcohol service regulations.
• Assist with bar opening and closing procedures.
• Handle guest requests and enquiries in a professional and courteous manner.
• Support the team during busy service periods as required.

Requirements

• Must currently reside in Malta.
• Previous experience as a Bartender in a restaurant, hotel, bar, or similar hospitality environment.
• Good knowledge of cocktails, wines, spirits, beers, and beverage service.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Fluent in English; knowledge of Italian or other languages will be considered an advantage.
• Positive, professional, and friendly attitude.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• A genuine passion for hospitality and delivering excellent guest experiences.
