Health, Safety & Environmental Officer

We're looking for a passionate and dedicated HSE Officer to join our team. In this role, you will be a key player in implementing a company-wide Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) management system, working closely with the HSE Manager to ensure we meet our corporate guidelines, local regulations, and international standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Audits and Inspections: Regularly conduct HSE inspections and audits across all operational areas to ensure compliance with company policies and international standards like ISO 14001 and ISO 45001. You will identify hazards, unsafe practices, and environmental risks, recommending and following up on corrective actions.
• Incident Management: Document all HSE incidents, near misses, and accidents. You'll lead investigations to determine root causes and prepare detailed reports with lessons learned and preventive measures.
• Risk Assessments: Carry out risk assessments for various operations, equipment, and chemical handling. This includes identifying potential hazards and implementing effective control measures.
• Environmental Monitoring: Monitor environmental aspects such as waste, water, emissions, and resource use to ensure we meet our environmental objectives.
• Occupational Hygiene: Monitor workplace conditions to protect employee health from risks like chemical exposure, noise, and dust. You will also help implement health surveillance programs and recommend engineering controls or PPE to reduce risks.
• Training & Culture: Plan and deliver health and safety training for all staff and contractors. Your efforts will be crucial in promoting safe work practices, emergency procedures, and fostering a strong safety culture throughout the company.
• Security: Serve as the main point of contact for security contractors, monitoring and enforcing site security protocols, and managing access control procedures.

Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of work experience in Health & Safety, preferably in an industrial or pharmaceutical setting.
• A solid scientific background with a minimum 'A' Level Chemistry.
• Fluency in English and Italian, with proven ability to conduct audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
• Strong understanding of occupational health, safety, and environmental regulations, along with knowledge of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 International Standards.
• Fluent in Microsoft Office Applications.
• Working Hrs: 7am -3pm

Education and Experience

• MQF Level 6 Bachelor's degree in Safety or a related field.
