Health and Safety, Security Manager
Simonds Farsons Cisk plc in Malta is currently looking to recruit a Health and Safety, Security Manager to join their team on a full-time basis.
Overview:
We are seeking to strengthen the Human Resources team by recruiting a Health and Safety, Security Manager. Reporting to the Head of HR, the selected candidate will primarily be responsible for the review, development, implementation and monitoring of the company’s Health, Safety and security management systems, to ensure the safety and security of all staff, visitors, and contractors, in line with current Health and Safety and security legislation. The selected candidate will also have the responsibility to maintain the highest standard for facilities management for the corporate offices and general areas of the company.
The selected person will be responsible to:
- Review and develop all aspects of Farsons’ Health, Safety & Security Policy and ensure that it is implemented consistently across the company
- Monitor, evaluate and review existing, new and upcoming Health, Safety and Security legislation and ensure that the company has systems and procedures in place to meet legal compliance
- Work proactively with all managers and other key staff to establish and maintain a programme of continuous improvement in the management of Health, Safety & Security within their areas of responsibility, which includes conducting regular audits
- Ensure that rigorous risk assessment and accident management systems are in place to enable all areas to undertake risk assessment processes to identify hazards and to ensure that appropriate control measures are in place
- Discuss and follow up on areas for improvement with relevant staff and/or external bodies and agree appropriate corrective action
- Liaise with Occupational Health Service staff on health surveillance where a risk assessment has identified a need, including carrying out stress risk assessments when required
- Ensure that appropriate records are maintained in compliance with legal requirements
- Ensure that the corporates offices standard enriches the working experience of our employees working int his facility and provide to be an attraction for prospective employees and visitors through basic facilities management.
Most important you need to:
- Be a mature person with preferably 3 years’ work experience in a similar role
- Be in possession of a recognized Degree in Health & Safety
- Possess comprehensive knowledge in Health and Safety, practices and legislation
- Have strong analytical skills
- Have strong leadership and communication skills.
