Active Ageing Coordinator

Lyons Care in Malta is currently looking to recruit an Active Ageing Coordinator to join their team on a full-time basis.

Overview:

The role of an active ageing position requires stimulating an individual's mental, physical and social well-being. This department guarantees the highest possible living standard for elderly residents.

The role consists of:

• Planning and scheduling indoor and outdoor activities for the whole week/month/year
• Organising mass and other spiritual activities
• Ensuring social inclusion
• Delivering group discussions
• Budget and resource management
• Visiting residents' rooms, particularly those who are bed-bound, to communicate and encourage them to participate in activities
• Boosting independent living for the elderly
• Performing moderate to high physical activity regularly.

Important skill set/ competences:

• First aid certificate
• Creativity 
• Good communication skills
• Time management
• Strong leadership skills
• Ability to work in a team 
• Enthusiasm with a positive approach.
• Cheerful personality.

Qualifications:

• Previous work experience with elderly people
• Individual has a diploma/ degree or master’s in healthcare.
