We are looking for a Senior Custody Executive to join our team on a full-time basis.
Senior Custody Executive
General duties and responsibilities
• Reviewing all client transactions, together with all trade confirmations, corporate action advices and other client facing reports prior to their dispatch;
• Managing all corporate actions impacting client investment portfolios;
• Ensuring the proper safekeeping and administration of all client monies and securities, including detailed and timely review of client assets/monies reconciliations;
• Compilation of internal documentation and periodic reports for finance, management and regulatory purposes;
• Assisting in maintaining, improving and/or developing strong internal controls, processes and procedures;
• Preparation of periodic regulatory reporting including MFSA and CBM reports;
• Ensuring compliance with the local MTCA, US QI, FATCA and CRS requirements, including submission of all related reporting to the relevant authorities;
• Management and oversight of relationships with third‑party custodians;
• Generally assuming responsibility for all matters related to the department, guiding the team, and reporting periodically to senior management / the Board of Directors.
Candidate credentials
• Possess professional qualifications in custody, securities operations or investment operations (e.g. CISI, CGI/ICSA or equivalent) and/or a university qualification/degree (or equivalent) in accounting, banking or finance;
• At least two years’ experience in a senior or middle/supervisory role in custody, asset safekeeping & administration, fund administration, or audit of financial services entities;
• Should possess a strong interest and continued willingness to learn about investments, financial markets, both local and foreign, and all related regulatory and reporting requirements;
• Proficient IT literacy with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, including the use of mail merge and pivot tables;
• Must have a highly professional approach, high integrity and attention to detail, be trustworthy, well-organised, a good team player, and capable of assuming full responsibility for duties assigned to him/her and to meet set timeframes and deadlines.
