Malta Financial Services Authority is currently looking to recruit a Senior Analyst to join their team on a full-time basis.
About Financial Stability:
The Financial Stability function is responsible for identifying and assessing risks which have the potential to spread within the financial sector and the real economy (systemic risks). Through its own macroprudential research and analysis of the financial sector, which covers the banking, insurance and securities sectors, the function contributes to the formulation of policies aimed at mitigating identified risks.
The Role
As a Senior Analyst, you will be assigned to carry out work which will include the following duties:
About You:
We are looking for candidates with strong academic background in statistics, mathematics, finance, economics or other relevant studies at National Qualification Framework Level 6 or better, duly certified by the Malta Qualifications Recognition Information Centre (MQRIC) or a widely recognised professional qualification at a comparable level, and a minimum of five (5) years experience in a related area.
A post Graduate Degree in any areas mentioned above would be considered an asset.
Candidates with experience working with business intelligence tools, such as MS PowerBI, and who have knowledge of programming languages and data analysis packages, such as R, Python or SQL, will be considered as an asset.
If you do not have the necessary academic or professional qualifications but have at least ten (10) years of relevant experience in a senior similar role, we would still be interested in speaking with you.
The selected candidate is expected to be a confident individual who feels at ease working in a multidisciplinary environment, is flexible, proactive, and dynamic, can prioritise tasks, has a critical and analytical mindset and a high attention to detail.
The individual is also required to demonstrate good research and have excellent oral, written and presentation skills.
