Job description:
The Malta Statistics Authority (MSA) invites applications for the position of Manager for the Balance of Payments Unit within the National Statistics Office (NSO). 

The prospective employee will be employed on a full-time indefinite contract basis and will be reporting directly to the Director for Economics Statistics, however, changes to the organisational structure can be made by the Director General in line with the exigencies of the Office. 

This position is subject to a probationary period of one (1) year.

Requirements:
By the closing time and date of this call for applications, applicants must be in possession of:

  • A recognised certificate equivalent to the Malta Qualification Framework (MQF) level 6 or above in Mathematics, Statistics and Operations Research, Economics, Accountancy, Banking and Finance or any related field of study; and
  • Proven experience of at least three (3) years in a similar field to those outlined hereabove.

Salary:
The remuneration for the position of Manager for 2024 is of €41,261 plus an expense allowance of €2000 and a communication allowance of €1600 as specified in the Collective Agreement. This remuneration excludes a performance bonus subject to a positive performance review and any other project-based allowances, which is reimbursed separately on an ad-hoc basis, as the need arises.
