Intern (Finance)
MeDirect Bank Malta is currently looking to recruit an Intern to join their team on an internship basis.
Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Finance Intern to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will support the Management Reporting team, in particular the Finance Payable function. You will assist with purchase invoice posting, sales invoice creation, and maintenance of the purchases ledger. This internship offers an excellent opportunity to develop your financial skills and gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced corporate environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting the Payables team in posting of purchase invoices
- Maintaining the Payables mailbox and obtaining invoice approvals
- Creation and posting of sales invoices
- Maintenance of purchases ledger
- Assisting the Management Reporting Team in the month-end closing process
- Other duties as may be determined by the Management Reporting Manager and Deputy CFO.
What We’re Looking For:
- You are a final-year Bachelor or Master’s student in the process of getting your degree in Banking / Finance related field
- You possess strong organisational skills; you have an eye for detail, and you are a solution seeker
- You possess excellent written and oral communication skills
- You are proactive and a team player.
The MeDirect Internship Programme:
- Open to students in the final or penultimate year of a Bachelor’s/Master's degree course
- 3 or 6 month programmes available
- Students will be assigned to a particular project and are expected to present their learning at the end of the programme
- Ongoing mentoring throughout
- Minimum commitment of 25 hours per week
- Possible promotion to the Graduate programme or offer of a full-time position.
